She decided to leap...

Hey all! Another AJ page from me today. I made this for the lovely Dyan Reaveley's latest Dylusions challenge, where we were to use the snow stencil, Santa's beard stamp and the colour London Blue.

I used London Blue and Pure Sunshine to make the background. I did some ghosting with the large snow stencil, and drew through one of the big snowflakes with a white pen.
I then used the small snow stencil and dabbed through some of the snowflakes with the silver paint dabber from Ranger + drew through the word "snow".
Using a stamp from the Further around the edge set I made a border around the page. I used the Snow cap stamp pad (Adironac pigment ink). Inside this border I stamped skulls from the Dependable Dotty set with Archival ink Aqua. I just love this skull!
The splatter in the bottom right corner was made by Snow cap paint dabber and the splatter stencil from Crafter's Workshop.

The girl is a stamp from Christy Tomlinson's She Art collection. She is coloured with Crushed Grape, Melted Chocolate, London Blue and Postbox Red. I gave her new legs from the Travelling Travis set, a hat from Love Struck Lucy's set and last, but not least, Santa's beard from Christmas Accessories.

The sentiment on the page is from Say what you mean. The one on the girl is part of the stamp. I coloured it with the Scattered Straw Distress Marker. Both sentiments are drawn around with white pen to make them stand out.

I really enjoyed this challenge! Thank you for making me think, Dyan! :)
Wishing you all a wonderful week end!!

Dylusions meets alcohol inks on suitcase lid..

Hi beautiful people!
So, I've got this small suitcase with some of my pens and pencils + + which I use for my journaling.
This weekend I decided to decorate the lid of it...

I used various Dylusions stamps and coloured them with Adironack alcohol inks...

Here's what you need..
I usually use Archival ink on all my projects, but on this I used StazOn, since it's a solvent ink pad. It dries quickly and the stamped images last long.

Dried Alcohol ink of various colours. I use the ink pallette from Tim Holtz.

The Adirondack fillable ink pen, filled with Blending solution. With this pen you pick up any of the colours above. Before changing colour, just scribble a bit on the craft sheet, and the pen will clean itself.
Neat, huh?

Note! Alcohol inks will erase each other. This means that you have to colour with just one layer (not scribble back and forth), or else the stamp that you colour will smudge.

And last, but not least, some stash to put in the suitcase! :)

This time I made an art journal page, using the Lila May holding flower digital stamp from DTSart and different Dylusions products and gesso. I've coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and Neocolor crayons.

Hope you'll join our challenge! Thanks for popping by!

AJ ~ A life without dreams...

Here's a double page I made in my Dylusions journal (love-love-love!) this week.
I'm afraid the pictures aren't the best, it's really hard to get good pictures when the sun sets so early..
I'll try to upload better ones later...

This splatter is made by Distress reinker Black soot and air on can :)

SGC #54 ~ Spots and Stripes

So the latest challenge over at the Southern Girls is all about spots and stripes. Bring 'em on!!
Here's my card!
I've used an image from Little Claire, called Swirly Whirlie Cats. This I've coloured with Pan Pastels. The sentiment stamp is from Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous, and the circle stamps are Dylusions. The spots in the corners are made by spraying Dylusions ink sprays through stencils.
The button is from Prima, so is the ruler (stamped on canvas).
Patterned paper and ribbon from my stash.

I hope you'll join in on our challenge!

Another wedding card

I'm finally set in my new crafting space - up in the garage attic! Yeeeey!
This is the first card I made up here in my "room with a view"..

Summer means weddings, and here is another wedding card from me:

I've used a lot of the same elements as the last card, even the same picture.
..That's what you do when you find something that you like.. lol!
This time I made it in purple, though.

Here's the inside:

Have a great week, and thanks for popping by!
